With a surprise announcement, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said the Sukhoi company began the development of a seventh generation fighter.
Of course we are still working on the fifth generation - said Rogozin - but conceptually we started working on the future.
In fact the Russians, in the last hours, have gone well beyond the sixth generation that, in theory, should fly in 2050.
The commander of aerospace forces, General Viktor Bondarev (photo), taking the statements of Russian Deputy Prime Minister confirmed preliminary studies also on the seventh generation, imagining a specific operating environment for at least 60 years in the future.
"We can not afford to stop, our designers are at work on the sixth and seventh generation. I can not say anything more, the projects are covered by military secret ".
